Mountain Kids

Mountain Kids events focus on providing a positive outdoor recreational experience in a "back country" setting for children, ages 8 to 12, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in such activities.  Our CPS races also allow kids to build fitness and compete in a healthy, outdoor environment.

Individuals and businesses such as South Lyon Cycles, Timing Guys, Motor City Bootcamp, Armadillo, and American Cycle and Fitness have generously donated a new trailer, bikes, helmets, tools and other useful tools for the Mountain Kids program.

"I was astounded, and deeply touched, by your Mountain Kids program - from the warm relationships between our students and your bikers, to the festive, energetic atmosphere from your total and complete organization of the day's events, [and] the camaraderie among your bikers. Thank you for providing our students with a day of fascination, glory and excitement..." School Social Worker, Mountain Kids event, June 2000
